Enforcement on the mandatory use of child restraint systems CRS or child car seats in private vehicles will be postponed until the end of 2020. Well it kind of happened because the usage of child seats became mandatory in January this year but due to the governments rationalisation. Until enforcement officially kicks in Malaysians wont be fined for ignoring the rule.

The MIROS guidebook states that most vehicles sold in Malaysia after 2015 come with ISOFIX points at the rear seats and top-tether points as standard for your childs seat. In last October the Minister of Transport had announced that it was time to impose the mandatory use of child seats as MIROS revealed that only 30 of. For all you parents out there do take note because were going into October and thats just two months away.

What you need to know. The law went into effect at the beginning of 2020 but the penalisation of parents who broke the law was held off until the middle of 2020. The amendment lies in the minimum amount employees get.
